the meeting of two cycles; tveim vetrum síðar varð alda-mót, two years after ( two years after 1118) there was a change of cycles, so that the year 1121 is the first in a new lunar cycle, see s.a.: the meeting of two centuries, síðustu aldamót, the last aldamót ( the time about 1800).
