In some of these cases it may answer to ψυχή, but the use is more strict: as a rule there is a distinction between ‘önd,’ anima, and ‘andi,’ animus, yet in some cases both are used indifferently, thus Luke xxiii. 46 is translated by ‘andi,’ yet ‘önd’ is more , 44. 21, 45. I.
